About Us

White Lotus Catering and Events is a catering and food packaging company, set up with the express purpose of delivering quality foods and services throughout China and with future potential for exportation of food products abroad.

White Lotus is a PRC WOFE, which was established in early 2008. Our business mission is to become the pre-eminent caterer in Shanghai, with a view to building further kitchen spaces and food factories across China if, and when, appropriate opportunities present themselves. The PRC WOFE is 100% owned and operated by White Lotus Holdings Ltd., which is a Hong Kong registered Holding company. The Principals of White Lotus Holdings, and its key personnel, are all Australian.

The company has constructed a 600 square meter kitchen in Hongkou district, in the 1930 development project, which gives it the ability to cater to any sized event from small canapé parties for 20 people to large-scale functions.  Licensing of the kitchen to QS (Quality Safe) standards has required meeting substantially higher quality control standards than those required by most restaurants and bars in Shanghai supplying the catering trade and, most importantly, gives considerable flexibility in producing specialist manufactured food lines for off-site sale. We aim to combine international quality standards (the kitchen is designed to international best standards) with creativity and experience to deliver a product that is both excellent and affordable, allowing us to match outcomes with the style of event the client is wishing to create.

The scale, structure and licensing of our operations, gives us a unique edge as well, allowing us to customize menus and packaged food products for events. From chocolates to canapés, we have the capacity to produce something special that makes the client’s visitors and patrons feel as though the extra effort has been made, at an affordable price. Quality does not need to be overpriced.
